Hello! I'm Don Cudd, founder of the West Brazos Herald and Herald Media. As we near the blessed -- but still unknown -- day in which the Herald will open its office and begin weekly publication, I've been making the rounds in The West Brazos region to tell folks about this venture. So, you and I may be already aquainted. Hello again!
If we've not yet had a chance to visit, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I'd love to have some coffee with you some time -- well, for now at least it's better be a "socially distant" chat. But we can both be drinking coffee, right? (And we've got several energetic (volunteer) staff members and (volunteer) board members who would love say the same.)
I am honored you've clicked this link, and I welcome your involvement in the Herald as you feel called. I assume one of the main reasons you're here is because you've seen the e-Edition we put online on Dec. 8 and are answering our call for help in getting PRINT newspapers started. What an honor it will be to have your support!
We humbly present our twofold needs:
- To begin printed newspapers distributed free to everyone, we need $55,000. Fully armed with that amount, we'll get started on that blessed venture.
- And, in the meantime, we are seeking volunteer writers and photographers to help us with two goals: 1. keep this site updated several times a week with brief news updates, photos, devotionals and prayers and 2. produce long-form articles for bi-weekly e-Editions that we hope to resume in March.
Here's the two ways you can help!
- To contribute to our financial goals, please click either of the links below. (We've set up two means for donating simply because, well, some folks prefer using PayPal for such things, and some like GoFundMe. GoFundMe's platform includes some social media marketing features we plan to unpack in the coming weeks, so we invite you to be on the look out for that, and your support will be a blessing.)
