West Columbia Church’s Weekly Food Ministry To Resume January 2

The regular Thursday Food Pantry ministry at Iglesia Centro Christiano in West Columbia will take a break for Christmas this week, but will resume on January 2.

“And when we start again, I’ve got a big announcement, especially for Men,” Pastor Richard Garza told the packed house on Dec. 19, the day of church’s last offering for 2019.

Volunteers distribute free groceries to up to 300 West Brazos people each Thursday morning beginning after an 8:30 a.m. message from Garza and/or other local pastors. Prayer huddles are a common sight throughout the church as people line up for the food each week.

Below are some scenes from the non-denominational church on Dec. 19. The church’s address is 114 S. Columbia St. Its phone number is 979-345-3849.

Pastor Richard Garza and visiting pastor Rick Hester gave testimonies of the glories of the Lord’s Gift of Salvation before participants lined up for groceries on Dec. 19.
Volunteers load up shopping baskets and boxes for nearly 300 of the church’s regular weekly visitors.
