Your encouraging stories welcome on new West Brazos Herald COVID 19 Prayer group

The West Brazos Herald is a start-up, non-profit organization being founded by a tiny group of volunteers. So we are not yet in a good position to provide the sort of well researched, carefully fact-checked news reports folks want and need in such a time as this.

Lord willing, we’ll be there soon. But we are currently still seeking a reliable group of volunteer reporters willing to learn on the fly and work around the challenges of social distancing to seek out accurate information, and Godly inspiration for regular posting on this site.

In the meantime, we’ve started a public prayer group on Facebook and we intend for it to double as a place where the people of West Brazos can post and read encouraging stories and other bits of God’s Glory for and from their neighbors. Despite all the anxiety, confusion, stress, sadness and pain the Devil has brought upon our world with this virus, Our God has always stood poised to be Victorious. And, He is eager to bring each of us with Him to that victory. Accordingly, there are MANY tales of hopefulness, togetherness, reconciliation, recovery, and love to share. And they are happening daily in our blessed West Brazos. And, since that’s where God resides in all of this, we are excited to go there in this new group.

In the coming days, our “staff” will be posting prayers and bits of inspirational news in that group (as opposed to this website for now) and we hope you will feel free to jump in yourself. Everyone is welcome! Click here to join the group and get started!

Our goal is to build a supportive, encouraging little community on that site and, it’s from that group, we believe our volunteer reporters will emerge in the coming days and, once we have a solid group of trained and committed volunteers, we’ll be in strong position to begin all the things that “real” news organizations do right on this site.
