Herald Start-Up Campaign Begins With Pastor Visits
Hi everybody, I’m Don, the guy with the Godly mission to start the West Brazos Herald. Since the start of 2019, I’ve mentioned this venture to about two dozen people around town, and the feedback has been enthusiastic. So, armed with that encouragement (and did I mention the Godly mission?), here I am finally writing this first post of the start-up campaign. Praise be to God. Let’s get this newspaper started!
For the first step in the start-up, I plan to spend the next few weeks tracking down the 70+ pastors in our area to see if they will meet with me to pray about this project. After I’ve met with a pastor, I’ll write up a “Sample Herald Content” feature on the church. Look for those stories in the coming days, Lord willing.
Several area pastors are among the folks who’ve heard me mention this venture, so my prayer meetings will probably start with them. But, Dear Lord, please help me get around to all of our local pastors soon!
Below is the list of churches whose pastors I am planning to contact. I admit that I am not yet familiar with all of the churches on this list and, further, I realize I may have left some churches off the list entirely. So, dear reader, please do not hesitate to contact me with corrections you may know about.

” Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken. “ — Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
